If you have never built a tube amp, but wanted to, this low power SE 6T9 Tube Amp is a good starting point. But it will need efficient loudspeakers to go with it. The 6T9 amp cct. brd. is from Spare Time Gizmo. All components required can be easily obtained and the amp is simple to build. The Fostex FE167E is a 94dB efficient full range driver and works well with the low power 6T9 amp. All you need now is a CD player and you have an excellent den system or small listening room set-up.
