Oatley Electronics sub-mini tube/chip amp hybrid K281

There has been a number of hybrids over the years but none more unusual than Oatley Electronics, of Sydney Australia’s, Jan6418/LM1875 kit amp. Not crazy enough for you? How about we throw in a 24VDC International regulated switch mode power supply and build the finished amp as a dual mono construction? Crazy? You expected less from Australian Justic Branko owner of Oatley? Still not crazy enough? How about the amp only puts out 5W. Yes the chip is capable of 20W easy! Think what you can do with this kit.
This is my dead stock, out of the box build. And it sounds bloody great! Good sonic depth with chip amp holographic sound stage and tight, exceptionally controlled bass. And all for AU$29 plus shipping. Nuts!!! Not crazy enough. I added twin UV LEDs on the front panel to indicate when both modules are powered. That’s Crazy.
