My second build of the Jaycar MM phono preamp kit is house in a sleek enclosure and runs from Three 9V lithium batteries. An Alps Blue Velvet potentiometer is topped off with a solid brass black chrome knob. The preamp is very smooth sounding and better than my earlier version which uses an AC supply and regulators on board. See the MM Phono Preamp (battery powered) - inside image for an internal sview.
