For this DIY turntable I used 1-inch thick acrylic for the platter and plinth, a Pro-Ject tonearm, 2.5-inch machined aluminum legs and built opening glass top and base. The motor is suspended in aluminum case and is vibration free. I also built in a remote on-off so there are no wires showing anywhere.
