Be Bamp 6SN7 remote driver-under the bonnet

Under the bonnet of the new 6SN7 Be Bamp remote driver stage can be seen the Russian 0.47uf paper, foil and oil caps (green) and component layout. The bi-pass caps are low ESR types and the filter cap was snubbed. Only additional wire used was the filament wire and two earth connections. The assembly method was component-2-component wiring. No hook-up wire was used in the signal path at all and the signal path is very short. Tube socket is ceramic with gold plated pin connects.

This driver stage out-performs the original 6N1P stage, to my ears anyhow. Better bass, deeper, better textured sound stage, extended reverb and a warmer sound in the mid-range.
