So I have the first set of data. Here is the RMS peak power out vs Vk at each of the chosen plate voltages.

This is for the 6L6 operating into a 5kΩ plate load in the SE-UL topology. At first glance, this data looks reasonable.

However, the rest of the data doesn't look nearly so reasonable. First, there are some weird non-linearities and second, the distortion is much higher than expected. So I will have to do some investigations before I can publish more of this data set.

So here is the new data with a brand new JJ 6L6GC. This is MUCH better and more in line with what I was expecting.

So here is a lesson in attentiveness. When you take a spreadsheet that's three years old and modify it without careful review of the contents, errors can creep in. Anyone looking at the curves in the last post should quickly realize that the power numbers were far too large for a 6L6 pentode operated in UL configuration. Some even hinted at greater that a 50% efficiency; an impossibility for a single ended configuration in class A operation. It seems a scaling error creeped in when I was making my modifications so the powers plotted were too large by a factor of SQRT(2). The plot below has the correct values.
