Cadence and Cascade always loved it. :)
The days of LP covers and artwork.
But ELP Brain Salad surgery cover and the way it opened always impressed me.

Yes those earlier line ups of KC especially where Greg Lake was involved were also great. Later with John Wetton as well. It’s a reminder of our mortality when our heroes of that time are passing. There seems have been an explosion in talent in those times. I was only introduced to In the court of the crimson king in the mid seventies by a fellow dutch student as I had never been aware of them from our radio stations. Thank God for hifi mags and youtube now.

i have been playing In the wake of poseidon (and Islands) to reacquaint myself with these albums as I haven’t played them much since completing the tube amp. Cadence and Cascade, Pictures of a City and Catfood stand out for me. Piano on Catfood reminds me of Bowie’s Alladin Sane. There’s also a Top of the Pops youtube video of Catfood that is interesting. Hard to believe it was 1970. while In the court of the crimson king a year earlier also has terrific tracks, sound quality didn’t seem as much a priority. Given it’s supposedly 50 years since the release of another great sounding album, Abbey Road, I’ll be playing that a bit later this evening.

Hi, Various dirt bikes then a KZ750 twin. Bags of torque and fun to ride. Performance exhaust was a bit noisy though.

Good listening
Bruce

Anyone ever listen to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard?
I'm kind of obsessed with them lately.

Couple great tracks:

Had seen a couple of good but very weird videos by them on Rage, a local weekend TV rock show. I did not realise they are so prolific with output. Will stream your linked videos later tonight. Thanks.

Videos eg. People vultures https://youtu.be/6f78_Tf4Tdk

Yeah all of their videos are super weird for sure.
They have been releasing music like madmen too. 5 albums released in 2017.

Being Aussie's, how big are they in Australia?

Here's another awesome early song https://youtu.be/oH6RYUOYW2s
"Head on / Pill". Something about their energy is really engaging. I would love to see them live, but they don't seem to come to Canada very often.

And then out of left field (somewhat), they released a thrash album this year.
Planet B - https://youtu.be/qtTi_uyYynA
Much heavier than their previous stuff.. Arguably one of their weirdest videos to date.
