It's hard to tell actually. It could be just an EL43 triode connected internally, or a repackaged power triode. However, I could not find a data sheet and transfer characteristics. As such, it's really another case of let the buyer beware. Could be really good, or just so-so.

I was looking at this,

From the web site.
Quote:
- Max current 120 ma (EL34 150 ma)
- Max dissipation 30w (EL34 25w)
- No G2 screen grid
- No G3 suppressor grid
- Carbonated Anode for maximum dissipation

Hi, Sound like a great deal...leave some parts out and charge more for it. For me the price of a resistor and a few bits of jumper wire seems better than large dollars and dubious performance.

Good listening

My guess would be that the G2 screen is connected internally, as is the G3 (much like a 6L6), otherwise it would not work like a real EL34. The tube curves would change drastically, and efficiency would suffer substantially.
My question would be, why bother?
