how big are they in Australia?
I am a bit out of the loop on new music unfortunately but they have had some airplay on Rage etc. I would guess they are more of an indie band. You don't seem to get too many prog rock bands with 10 minute songs in the top 50 since Emerson lake and palmer. KG&LW look as though they have got something unique sound wise and artistically to offer though.

Cool! I seemed to have missed this talented person. I had heard of Stephan Grapelli but didn't know he and Django played together.

Not really related to serious listening but quite enjoying playing some Boney M on YouTube. They were popular in Germany and here too in the day. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=R ... YW-UzNEa1A

Good selection. my wife loves ELO from her uni days whenever i sit down for an extended listen I have to put on last train to london for her and a few others. For some reason my brain has never connected to them much. Travelling Wilburys I didn’t mind which is a bit odd. There was a whole swag of innovative acts from UK and US in the 90s. like Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Fatboy Slim just to name a few and a lot I’ve forgotten. The Style Council and the The were great, though I didn’t hear too many follow up songs/albums. Some good low bass in Witchcraft song. Have to look them up as I hadn’t heard of them

i was looking through the wikipedia discography for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. In 2015 the band received an Australian music award for Quarters. I must have missed the 2015 ARIAs. I haven’t listened to all the album yet but the first track sounded promising.

Hey yeah! I posted a link to them playing this first track (The River) in a live studio a few posts back. Awesome track IMHO.
The album Quarters is called that because it has 4 tracks (2 per side). Each track being exactly one quarter of the album.

I've been listening to a lot of different stuff lately, so I'll share a bunch.

Anyone listen to heavier stuff? Lately I've been enjoying some heavier post rock stuff. Really been enjoying a band called Russian Circles https://youtu.be/3PtD8MLrBrI
I just ordered their LP Blood Year.
Also came across this band called Pg.lost. I keep blasting this track Terrain in the car when I'm driving https://youtu.be/8VpRIfktCeE
Both of these bands are instrumental only.

Also been enjoying dreamy ambient type stuff as well. I randomly found this German artist called Oake, considered "Dark Ambient" I guess, anyways I enjoy this https://youtu.be/bGJxTukmYck
Lulu Rouge, a Danish electronica duo, has some pretty nice stuff as well https://youtu.be/2M3V0umGbBg

On the Funky Psyche front I recently discovered a band called Unknown Mortal Orchestra which is pretty awesome https://youtu.be/IJrKlSkxRHA
Also super excited for the upcoming Tame Impala album, I think this is the 3rd single from it called Posthumous Forgiveness https://youtu.be/44lWO3qhQMk

This is a really neat song as well, by Charlotte Adigéry (Belgian-Caribbean musician) called Okashi https://youtu.be/5m9EWAMptLQ
One more.. I haven't listened to Janelle Monáe before, but this track Primetime is great https://youtu.be/Oxls2xX0Clg
