Finally tried my headphone amp today and it worked perfectly. No problem adjusting bias - 11V.

I'm looking forward on your comments on how it sounds if you have them.

This as a "promenade victory" (as we say in Sweden = "easy win"). Ordered the PCB and the components using Peter's BOM. The "tricky" part was to identify the components, but being very careful, reading the lists and taking some time - it's hard to make any mistakes.

I had three of the tubes and from the beginning only had planned to use one, but I ended with two more, bot they are all installed in various projects. Onther one is Millett's line amp and the third is a guitar OD-box.

I have built Pete Millett's Buffer/Preamp. I need to add a volume pot. What Ohm pot should I use? I tried a cheap 50K ohm and it sounded terrible and when turned low was popping and distorted. Without a POT the pre is crazy loud.

I belive you connected the pot the wrong way.

At 0 volume (maximum counter clockwise) the amplifier input should be short to ground.
At max volume the amplifier input is short to pre amp output.

At any volume setting the pre amp output sees a 50k impedance to ground. (assuming nothing is connected to pre amp)
