I have a JJ 30uf 500v for the first cap. The 100 uf caps I have are 450v. No load voltage on 275v secondaries is 305-0-305. If I am correct that should be a safe margin on them. Thanks for the replies and knowledge. Will go with that. I am about 6 more weeks out on output transformers so will be awhile before I can complete.

Question for Matt and others. On the bias caps for the 12a?7 and 6l6s is 50 volt acceptable? I"m not sure what the bias voltages are on the tubes.

On the 12AUx bypass capacitor, anything over 10v should be fine. I think mine are 25v. As for the power stage bypass capacitors, I would go with 50v. This is sufficient for the bias point of any of the tubes and should supply ample margin.

Matt, I have completed the build and want to send a special thank you to you and all others whom have replied throughout this project. Im running 5ar4, 12ax7 and matched 6l6s and thrilled with the sound. There is no hum and the amp performs beautifully. I owe it all to fine folks like you. I would have never gotten here without all your efforts. My hats off to you all. Thanks

This is great to hear. There is nothing like a new amplifier. :sing:

Do you have any pictures?

The photos are horribly blurred. Any chance of better ones.

I would love to post clear pictures but my phone won't take pictures less than 1mg and cannot post them. The pictures I posted were from an old phone and it's photos are horrible as you see. I will try to link off a photo site or something if I figure out how. Anyone have any suggestions on this?

I have an old iPhone and have similar problems. I found a photo compression app on the app store I recall was free. You can adjust the size to the allowed on DIYaudioproj and the app saves it in your phones album. Just upload it from there. Not sure if there is something simple on the forum though. Nice project. Cheers
