Does any one know where I can get a new reverb tank for my old school reverb amp. I can not find any for s guitar amp that will work. I hate to just put this away. Since I had it since 1969. Besides the WIfe like to use it once in a while. She said it goes good with White Rabbit.

www.tubesandmore.com has reverb tanks and great service.

Not affiliated, just a happy customer.

Cheers!

I have look there but nothing will work. The DR SR 101 is a stereo reverb that goes between the input of your power amp and the CD or turn table. It uses 2 6BM8 tubes for the drivers. Note they are not transformer coupled like in guitar amps. They have a cap from the plate of the tube to the driver coil. Pick up coil goes to 12AX7 then out. It is real y well made and has factory tubes. Never had problem till now.

Can you post a schematic? Lots of designers and real engineers here. We may be able to improvise a solution

I was an electronic engineer. I am now retired. I do have a schematic. But no way to scan it as it is paper. It is on line though. The problem I am havein g the pick up coil on the left channel spring reverb tank is open. It's a 1.2!k coil. I have even thought of re winding it but the wire is real y fine to try. I now just repair my own things and the amps that I have built and sold over the years.

I recently bought an SR-101 from Ebay. One of the 5 mf capacitors for driving the spring tank from the pentode in one channel wasn't soldered and the cable connected to the tank pickup in the other channel came loose. After I repaired it, it worked. It has a strange metallic reverb sound if its turned up a lot. I was thinking of modifying it to drive some 3 spring Accutronics tanks.
