Try a bigger filter cap like 1000uF, but it should not make that much of a difference, it is most likely an annoying ground loop that I end up with in just about every project I make because it is hard to make all of the ground wires go to one ground post, so when I touch something like a pot contact or the outside of an RCA jack the noise would either get worse or better.

Problem solved !
on L78xx series is tab ground so a small wire from - ( neg ) side to ground took care of that and
now it sounds even after 6 hours just

Regards,
Kjell.

Great!

I think word on this thing is getting around. I've been sniped at every auction for one :x

If you look at the sales history, they've been steadily increasing in final bid price.

Cheers!

Hi Geek,
Yeah i noticed that too and for once i plead not guilty
i think i got mine for close to 12 buck's and some went for almost 20 i belive,
kind of strange with all those millions of items on e-bay and this guy is the only one who have them
could be that he makes those and if not it should be a manufacture of those and maybe we should
track this builder down and try to buy a s**t load of them
I know for sure that i could easy sell 30 of them.
I also looking into the IC itself that is a Mp3 decoder and a piece of pcb and some sockets for usb
and a memory card and build my own unit maybe ;)

Regards,
Kjell.

I'm useless at chip programming, otherwise adding a display to this would be a super advantage.

Cheers!

I'm since a few days looking around for a "drop in" display and when it's a output for'it so why not, would be pretty cool huh !

I got mine today, but the resonator was smashed :bawling:

The unit otherwise is physically OK and the bubble wrap and envelope shows no sign of damage, so it couldn't have happened in shipping (likely he got a lemon and didn't notice it).

Hopefully he can arrange a replacement.

Cheers!
