I was looking through the Nov 2008 DIY forum and ran across the Magnavox tube amp 9304 story. I just today fired up the rebuild of my 1964 Sears Silvertone Stereo console. No Sams schematics are available for this one unfortunately but so far none was needed. This tube set is very similar to the Magnavox except it uses two diodes for the rectifier instead of a 5U4 tube. It has two 12AX7 preamp tubes and two sets of EL84s in push pull. It outputs at 8 ohms. I replaced all its electrolytic caps in the amp and the receiver sections. I have held on to this set for 35+ years and it has not worked since 1975 or so. It has a bright green tuning eye on its tuning dial face along with a red stereo light and a green station indicator light. It needs its potentiometers cleaned out as they are scratchy sounding. Other than that it sounds really good through a pair of Polk Audio TS11 bookshelf speakers. I took its original 12 inch woofers out and put them in the rear shelf of a 1960 Ford Starliner I used to have way back when. I would post pictures of my Odd Watts and this and other projects if I could figure out how. Thanks. Robert P. in Lilburn, GA
