Hey All,

Well I have to admit that I haven't started the actual build of this thing yet. Some life happened and I've been in and out of the hospital for a family emergency for the last week. I DID however get the PCB's laid out, and a parts list drawn up before that happened and and sitting on go for an opportunity to start the electrical side of the project. I haven't planned the case out yet, but that is the only part left in the design. I'm quite excited to start but I'm not sure when I'll be able to go on it. Thanks for all your help and I will keep you posted as to when I get this thing going again, hopefully in a couple of weeks.

Adam

Alex,
I'm glad you are enjoying the build, I'm thinking about just going ahead and starting the build. Will need to find a suitable chassis first though. But I wanted to ask, what Diana Krall Album are you listening to on it? I have another tube amp I've built for the girlfriend and need some suggestions to test it out on. I really enjoy the overall experience on the best of Diana Krall and think expanding that would be quite nice.

Enjoy the music
Adam

I got this schematic from one of Sweden's top tube designers and did actually build the amplifier.and had it running for a few years. However it didn't sound good but it was beacuse the powermains transformers where actually wound for a different project and delivered far from the required 400 - 450 V necessary to make this piece sing out loud (and clear).
