Hi!

I found this unknown (to me) tube and looks interesting.

It was developed for professional wideband applications, low distortion, low noise and Gm=50!!!

So I searched for a possible RIAA pre-amplifier and this is what I found.

Have you ever heard of this? What are your opinions?

PDF is below the picture, take a look!

Miguel

The EQ-600 module is the RIAA equalizer and is composed by a LCR type filter.

It's impedance is 600 ohm and I found the schematic.

Hi, It ought to work. I personally am not to fond of the EQ section as I think you can do as well with out inductors. The tubes ought to be fine but might be hard to find or costly. It sort of reminds me of circuits using 7199s (also hard to find and costly).

Good listening
Bruce

Yeah, I don't like the coils as well.

As for the tubes, there is a guy at eBay selling NOS Mullard gold pins for $20 each.

Is it possible to work the RIAA network without the coils?

Cheers!
