Yet another external PS for yet another Psvane 6SN7-SE globe tube preamp. A 24VAC wall wart is use to power the PS which delivers 200V HT and 12VDC for the preamp yet to be built. The HT is choke filtered with 400uf of filtering.

In the next build I'm going for the even more expensive low noise Psvane 6SN7-SE globes, and premium EIZZ 24 step stepper attenuator. The rest will will be the same as Grace.

Beautiful tubes with the enclosure to match. Really great looking premap Mark. Congrats.

"Elite" the new Grace. This time even more expensive grade A Psvane low noise 6SN7-SE globes. The rest is the same; Jensen copper foil PIO caps and 24step gold contact attenuator.

Big change is the chassis colour from white to black. Assembled not wired at this point.

Not sure of it is a curse or a blessing but I always appear to make three of everything. Sometimes a lot more than three but at least three.

The scary part is I have even another in view. A friend gave me a pair of NOS RCA 5691s which I understand are ruggedised 6SL7. A small unassuming brown based tube but I believe could sound great.

Not sure why you want to build three pre amps while swapping the tubes on the current one will probally work same or simliar.

Maybe your refining your amps wihle you go for that little bit more sound quality so you always build three?
