Have anyone ever used Unbalanced to Balanced adapter which it sells on ebay for around $15-$30? Most of my gears are balanced so I am looking for a way to convert my tube amp from Unbalanced to Balanced which I don't know if this would degrade the sound or not. The reason is my other gears got radio frequency in idle with Unbalanced hookup but not happen with Balanced.

Thanks :)

Depending on the form factor, you want one of these two options:

These are both high quality units and will provide what you need. Just pick the impedance you want. Best of all, Edcor stands behind their products. Ebay defines "Caveat Emptor".

Thanks for the link Suncalc.

Someone was mention about XLR transformer but I didn't understand what it was. I was thinking about those adapters on ebay. I will try the Edcor to see how good it will be.

Hi, Most of the converters just ground one of the balanced wire connections. This makes it just a way to connect the gear and does not preserve the balanced wiring. I have used some in the past as all my gear except one component is unbalanced and I needed a way to connect to it. They will probably not do what you want to accomplish. Using the Edcor transformers you can probably accomplish what you want.

Good listening

I haven't look at the Edcor specs yet but I did look at these on ebay which using the op amp IC in the circuit. Yeah, it's just a converter, not a real balanced circuit design so I am not sure if it would improve the sound or make it worst than the unbalanced.. ... 2ee6691e72 ... SwwTlbDL83
