Hi, newbie here, i was hoping you guys could
Help me out..
i just acquired a modded C-9 preamp, from 12 tubes to now 8
Modded to 8 to make it more simple they said.. anywho..
I am trying to figure out which tubes are for the inputs and phonos..
It has 4 12ax7s and 4 12au7s.... the ones with the red caps next to it are the au7s..

Pls help

**im Just trying to figure out how to post a smaller file for pictures

Hi,

Without a mod schematic (which I searched heavily for), you can try the old method of "tapping" gently the tubes and hearing in an amp which is doing what.

so put it on phono, then tap the tubes gently and see which one makes any sound/noise?
