Hello.

I want to build a Darling clementine SE amp and want to re-use the James JS-6115HS from my SE 6bq5.

These transformers are limited at 45 mA max, is this sufficient to use in a Clementine?

Thanks.

By my calculations, with the 720Ω cathode bias (1.8kΩ || 1.2kΩ) and 300v B+, you should be running about 38mA in triode mode. As such, you should be OK with those transformers.

Hope this helps.

The JS-6115HS are rated at 50mA and are suitable for a Darling amp.
The ‘classic’ SE Darling idles a little under 30mA (270~280Vdc B+, 1K Rk).
