Not easy to get amps zero noise espcially without the lots of feedback or without expensive voltage regulation.
Not easy to get a mains grounded pre amp and mains grounded amp to have absolute zero ground current noise.

What happens when an opt is saturated? What do you hear from speakers? A squeal or some microphonic noise?
