In the new AudioXpress magazine it said the new Mullard tube factory went out of business already. At $50 plus for a E813CC I can see why. Wonder what they would have wanted for one of their KT88s?

AX is a few months behind then.

Yup, it's true!

Apparently they still owe the employees a months back pay :worried:

They put all their eggs in one basked and it hinged on an overseas deal for CRT gun assemblies. The deal fell through and *POOF!*

I wonder if the New Sensor guy will buy them for pennies on the dollar like he does everyone else....

Yeah, the Dec issue of AX features a "Reliable Review" of an Oppo DVD player that has not been available for a while now? :confused: I guess that is the nature of print media nowadays.

Just to be clear it is Blackburn MicroTech Solutions that went under. The Mullard name and trademark were acquired by the New Sensor Corporation a while back and new production tubes are made in a Russian factory (don't quote me on that ;) ).
