Interesting discussion. There is one concept however that I can't wrap my head around. It is Quantum entanglement. It just just seems wrong and while aspects of it have been shown to exist it boggles my mind.
Good listening

Hi Bruce,
Its just a thought but if particles or perhaps energy waves can become entangled, then in theory is the whole universe entangled from creation at the "big Bang" (I am not convinced it was creation "the start") could it be that No-thing is linked to if you are not entangled in it you cannot perceive it? ie anything other than the universe would not exist as far as the contents of the universe are concerned. At that level the universe would be part of something that is entangled at a higher dimension which would be an infinity of entanglement. Anything that happened at that level would have immediate effect on the universe as we know it.
NB that the entangled particles are normally in the opposite state like Anti-matter, but with the idea of Qubits infinite states in infinite entanglement.
A bit nuts but interesting.
If this was the case then entanglement is what we perceive as reality. A dream is only seen by the dreamer.
Something I find interesting is that "they" say the Big Bang expanded so fast that is seemed to break the speed of light.
But if the Big Bang was an entanglement creation event then information speed isn't restricted by the speed of light (or so it seems)
Which would make more sense of chaos theory and the butterfly effect.

(everything effecting everything else)
But its all just thoughts, I think AI singularity would be an entanglement event if it happened.
(would it be irreversible if we wish we hadn't done it).
You would be back to the same question is it the robot that's alive or the energy in it that's alive..
