Hey, I'm Scott. Ive been jammin since I was 12. My dad and I had a 60's model Plymouth Valiant that my dad and I always worked on. My dad's an electrician and I am a Science major in education so we have a lot in common their. The Plymouth jammed so hard it would always leave a ring of rust on the garage floor after I played the stereo in it! LOL I loved old school car audio. Still do.

I've always liked car/home stereos and other electronics. I'm also a member of candlepowerforums since 2004. (flashlights/batteries etc..)

I've recently got back into the whole audiophile thing because I've been getting into jazz music and my current setup doesn't like jazz for some reason and I've been tweeking.

Hope to hear from you all!

PS

Anyone a member of other audio forums?

I really like this forum It seems a little smaller and slower paced compared to some other which is good.

I was thinking about joining parts express forums too.

-Scott

Hi, Welcome to the forum. Lots of nice folk here. Other good forums are vinylengine.com (fairly large number of members and postings, mostly turntables, but covers everything from tape to speakers), audioroundtable.com (mostly speakers, but lots of other stuff...I am a moderator and commercial member there), diyaudio.com (huge forum, IMO not quite as friendly and personalized because of its size, but has many members and topics...sort of the big brother of audio forums). There are others that tend to specialize in various subjects as well. I have been on the PE one and found it less satisfying to me than the ones I listed. The focus was on stuff I don't normally do. BTW I lived in southern Indiana back in 1969-70. It was fun to go into KY for the Derby.

Good listening
Bruce

Welcome! :D

This forum and diytube.com are like compliments to each other in help and friendliness, IMO.

Cheers!
