Hello from Bucharest, Romania!

I work as a Software Engineer in the telecom solutions industry, I'm 31 years old and I play in a couple of bands. I'm interested in tube amplifiers and guitar pedals, I have some DIY experience, built a few pedals and even replaced caps in my Mesa Boogie Mark IV amp. I was looking for DIY tube preamp clones, especially Triaxis/Mark IV clones and I found this forum. I hope I can find useful information, learn a good deal of useful stuff and have fun.

Thanks,
/Ciprian

I started off in electronics using a screw driver as a soldering iron, and a gas stove
to heat it hot enough to solder, I've come a long way, through my education, and later employed as an electronics technologist in a leading high technology firm.
doing work with wires is considered the most important part of the industry, so you just keep up with your efforts in this direction, and keep in mind, you can never know, to much of basics

Hello! My name is Sean and I'm located in Oakland, California.

My JVC car head unit is on its last lI'm interested in building a simple power amp section I can plug my phone or mp3 player into. Just need a volume knob. Might be fun to do an EQ later on also.

I'm pretty much a n00b, can wield a soldering gun but need to learn more about the raw electronics. I've been looking at kits but there's quite a range. Any suggestions on a good beginners kit?

Hello from Croatia, Europe, I'm new in audio stuff, I have basic knowledge of electronic from high school. I recently bought on old things market someone's audio amplifier project and would like to finish it over the winter. It would be my entry to the audio equipment world and good stress release from my job.

Hi from Belgium!
I've been enamoured by tube based project for years now, but apart from messing with a simple guitar amp's EQ circuit, I never really dug in before. After stumbling across the 6DJ8 headphone amp project while browsing, I figured it was time to change that! Tinkering together my own amp seemed far more fun than just buying one.

Hi everyone
I'm Doug from Canada

My skills are limited. My interests lofty. A zany collection of components and scrap chassis you'd think I knew what I was doing. Too bad spell checker didn't make circuits.
I've been missing some good headphone sound
I ran across the IRF510 Headphone Amp, a quick check and found I have most of the parts less the mosfets.
Being into RC I'm wanting to power with a lipo pack. The voltage will be little high or low depending on which battery I use. 11.1 or 14.8.

Any more questions I have I'll put on the existing thread.

Cheers
