just an update for kaisei capacitors,

Just for interest I have found that the polar and none polarised have different sounds in the cathode bypass position.
The polar are open in the mid band with quite tight bass.

The none polar are warmer across the frequency range and this is marked in the mid band frequencies.

Just for interest

Keep up the cap reviews, mon! They're helping me advise clients :D

:D LOL.
The Kaisei are my go to cathode capacitor now.
The lower voltage ones on the cathode can be clamped with a zener helps discharge.
But I didn't know how they would fare both types but with the none polar type there is a definite "sounds like" slight "2nd harmonic" lift in the mid band. Perhaps closer to the warmer black gate.

To me its just different if its better or not is a YMMV. :D

All the best
