I hope I am posting in the appropriate section. I am attempting to power a bluetooth adapter from an old iPod mini (using the iPods battery). I have also installed a different transmitter inside an iPod video and in both situations, I get a ton of audio background noise. If I power the transmitters from a diferent power source, the sound is crystal clear. The noise is coming over the power power lines and I do not know how to go about fixing this. Hoping someone could offer some advice.

The iPod mini has a convenient 4 pin port beside the headphone jack, two of those pins are power. I am trying to retro fit the bt transmitter inside an old iTrip FM transmitter case.

If anyone could help me solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Did you ever manage to get this to work. Just revived my old 3G iPod and was looking at doing the exact same hack on the iTrip to get some bluetooth capability.
