can anybudy help, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, or if its been asked before. I have aquired some transformers and chokes from an rca tube am transmitter. the chokes are large and potted, they have tages with with drawing and spec numbers. does anyone know how I can find any info, specifically the break down voltage and of course any other specs I can find.

The info may be on the schematic. Can you post a photo? Short of that, you can measure the inductance and resistance of the choke. With those measurements + the weight, you can check against Hammond catalogs and get a pretty good estimate of how much current it can handle.

Hope this helps.
