We added the detailed build instructions put together by the folks at auDIYo.com for the Jon Risch Belden 89259 DIY RCA Interconnect Cables and for the Jon Risch Belden 89259 Cross-connected DIY Hi-Fi Speaker Cables.

The cable projects are simple to build and work real well.

If you build a set of the cables send us your photos and we will add them to the project page.

Another speaker cable project and this one is rather simple to do and the results are very good . The cables were put together by Adam for use with for his DIY 3-Way Hi-Vi Tower Loudspeakers.

The cables design is fairly simple, consisting of 16 gauge wires that are twisted together in alternating directions. This cable geometry results in a speaker cable with very low-inductance and an equivalent wire gauge 10. Adam uses high quality gold plated banana plugs, TechFlex and a decorative Oak Sleeve to make a very nice looking cable that rivals the performance of some high quality commercial speaker cables.

For full details, see the Low-Inductance DIY Speaker Cable page.

Tom has put together an easy to follow guide showing how to construct simple line-level RCA interconnect cables. The cables use commonly available shielded instrument wire and good RCA plugs. The cables is very simple to construct and requires only some basic soldering skills. The RCA cables can be built for as little as $10.
