Hi, I was just listening to the Ventures Telstar LP. Really good stuff ...especially since it is from about 1963. Also the Village Stompers Washington Square LP. Neat Dixie Land style jazz. Great banjos and sax.

Good listening

I'm listening to a Garrott (Oz) K2 MM cart and lots of classical music. I know this thread is about music but I have to mention my return to MM carts as part of rediscovering music I have heard before.

I was having my Ortonfon Rondo Blue retipped so had the K2 in place. I'm gong back to a MM cart after enjoying classical and other music far more than I can remember. I will be getting a K3 though which has a much better stylus profile, same motor but better stylus profile, $AU360.

Mahler and many others are now alive and well in my lounge.

Disraeli Gears, by Cream...on an Empire 598, Origin Live Arm and AT 33PTG/II. Rather exceptional for a 45 year old LP. Lots of fuzzed up guitar. Not my usual fare, but I like to mix stuff up on occasion.

Good listening

Listening to the 6V6 Marblewood amp. Current track: Norah Jones "Cold Cold Heart" off the "Come Away With Me" album. This is one sweet sounding amp! And the soundsatge is increadible!

Hi, Tony Mottola "Spanish Guitars" on Command Stereo. From 1962. Amazing. The LP is quite nice and rather energetic. It has that huge amount of separation that was in vogue back then. The trumpet used in some pieces just leaps out at you...it was done by Doc Seversen. The LP itself is pritine and super quiet. All the ones I have on Command Stereo were extremely well done, London Phase 4 is a close second.

Good listening
