Hi Everyone, I got this one a while ago and finally had a chance to really listen to it. About half the tracks will put you to sleep. Some of the rest are pretty good , but not up to what I expect from her. The acoustic guitar on some tracks was rather nice and the piano was generally recorded better than in some of the earlier LPs. I didn't think the background was as quiet as some other LPs. Esp since it was supposed to be a "200 gram premium 2 disk" pressing. To do it again I would go for the SACD if available and skip the LP.

Good listening
Bruce

Hiya Bruce,

Nothing more frustrating than buying a new and expensive HQ vinyl record only to find that it is awful or even worse, noisy. I've had two new sealed 180g "premium" pressings that have had excessive surface noise, with one excessively warped to boot! I seem to have better luck with used records. Very time consuming, but at least you can visually evaluate the record surface, and if there is a problem, it was only a dollar or two.

Cheers

Hi Gio, I have had pretty good luck getting things from MusicStack. They act like a clearing house for used and some new LPs, CDs and DVDs. The conditions are rated and seem to be fairly accurate. Prices and shipping are reasonable as well. If you ever want an unusual or perhaps scarce LP it is the place to check.

Good listening
Bruce
