Here's my make-shift system. Make shift because I had to move the tv off of the stand to put the newly finished 6k6gt amp down. The amp is here for a week or two until I figure out a better situation.

The speakers, MTX AAL-12, have been with me for over ten years now. They are rated for 50hz-20khz, and Sensitivity(2.83V/1m) of 92dB. I never had any grand concepts that these speakers where anything special, but they've never let me down. I'm starting to appreciate them a little more now since I have a fondness for the higher sensitivity what with the tube amps I am making.

Some sharp eyed forum goers my notice the Turtle Beach Audiotron. It's a mp3 player from back in the day that uses cat5 to network and will find any shared music on the network and stream it (no harddrive in the thing).

Lastly, my boring 10+ year old Pioneer receiver. Works fine, used mostly for radio duty while we are cooking or doing chores.

What you can't see is the 12', down filled, couch behind me.

RossD: the sensitivity of the speakers will be a blessing with the tube amp. You should be able to reach good listening volume with some to spare.

Well, hopefully I haven't spammed this forum too much with my 6AS7 build. But I figured a full system shot was warranted in this thread.

6AS7 SET amp, 4S preamp, Boozhound phono stage, Bob Brines design cabinets with Fostex 206e drivers, and my newest addition (thanks to Gio this past weekend) is the Rega P1.
