hi,

i recently got a vintage radio which uses 9 volt batteries. the connectors are snap-style, but unlike the 9V connectors on basically every website they are individual snaps. So the black wire connector is alone and separate from the red wire one.

also, i was wondering if there is any way to add bluetooth capabilities to it with minimal disturbance inside?

i'm a super beginner, btw :p thank you in advance. :beerchug:

Hi, you should be able to open up a new style 9V plug, pull the wire out of the plastic harness and then cut the harness in half.

Cheers

So I just cut the plastic part then! How do I remove the original wires, and how do I attach the new ones (soldering)? Also, does that mean I put the wires back into the plastic harness after cutting it in half...?

Sorry for my barrage of questions, I'm really new to this :|

Also for you or anyone -- I've attached the schematics. I can make no sense of it whatsoever being the noob I am, but I do know it's the correct one so if there's anything to add, please feel free :)

I am not quite getting the response I was hoping for  Is there anything else I should add?

I'll snap some photos of the interior when I get home. Having 0 experience with modifying electronics, I need much guidance.

As for my plan, I was thinking if there is some way to convert a regular Bluetooth audio receiver to 9V? I'd like to use the original speaker so disassembling a brand-new Bluetooth speaker and just using that isn't quite what I'm going for.

Here are pictures by the way. I've resolved the battery issue but have had to make a makeshift antennae upon a friend's advice in order to get a signal.

Nice radio. I see the battery issue now. You can see on diagram they originally used a round 9V battery, hence the split connectors.
