The chassis for tube amplifier from steel, wood, brass...

The design at the attached file (pic)

Interesting to know your opinion...

Very neat, well done.

I've seen a valve AM transmitter built on PCB and enclosed in a case made of... copper clad board, really surprising what can be done all that is required is time and patience, and a little knowledge.

Gee, 'ally' chassis seems to be getting scarce these day's, apart from them tiny 6x4 inch boxes, used to be able buy them in all sizes.... OXO tins used to build radio's on em' - going back a while now, a long time in fact.

That one with the wood sidepanels tickles my fancy.

All are gorgeous though.

Cheers!

Rgey all look very good. The chassis are as important as the sonal qualities, in my mind.

I know that many DIYers complain how difficult it is to fix a nice "package" for the tubes. However there are few tricks that gives an attractive result, like fixing a pair of wooden panles to the box, or a wooden front. I always keep my eyes open for unusual boxes an cases that can be used.

The silver one looks really cool, 8-) and the wood one looks nice and simple but attractive.
