Hello All,

I want to let everyone know there is a slight delay in getting the transformers... a little annoying from my point of view but to be fair i should have guessed this would happen. The store did not carry enough in stock so they are being sent to me from Western Australia (not that far away) should only be a couple of extra days.

My apologies for the delay..... I really hope no one is waiting for this as the last part to finish the amp or something...
Rest assured they are on their way !

Dan,

Thanks for the update. Plenty to keep me busy until the Altronics pieces arrive.

Cheers, Greg

Dan,

Thanks for the good news. This timeline is all going to come together nicely for me.

Sorry it all didn't go so smoothly on your end. I surely appreciate your work in getting this done. I, for one, will be looking for your advice on how to wire this piece to the pcb, when the time comes.

Cheers, Greg

Received my transformers today, Dan. Thanks again.

I gotta tell you, when I saw that little package in the mail I thought, "Uh oh! Wrong shipment." But all is in order. I am completely surprised at how small they are. That's a good thing for off the pcb mounting, though.

Cheers, Greg

yeah i know, they are strangely tiny !!

any how dont fret i have used them at low (and high) audio frequency to great success.
the can is apparently "mu metal" so the shielding properties should be quite good, my understanding is these were desgined for mic / pa desk impedance matching style work.

either way when i was building the uniamp for the first time i think they were a lucky find. as nice as the Sowter xfmr is the price is very very high.
