A couple of guys have expressed that they would like to have another pair of boards. I will get another small batch done if there is enough response.

Post here in this thread if you have any solid interest in pcbs. For those who may not be aware of the Millett UniAmp, any information you need to know is at the link below. Read carefully, as I have read it a dozen times and seem to notice something new each time.

Yes, that's been pointed out before.

If someone wants to spend $50 US for a pair of those, that's their business. But, even with an initial set up fee, I was able to have very nice boards made for $18/pair US, plus shipping. And that was a VERY small batch. Second time around would be about half that much.

I'm enjoying this build enough that I'm considering doing like I did first time....have the boards made, and then dispense them to other DIYers at my cost. Only next time I'll keep more boards for myself, LOL!

Cheers,
-Greg

Hey Greg
What do you think the BOM will cost for this build?

Uriah,

Haven't really figured it up. Like any other build, it would depend greatly on your choice of components, of course. I'm guessing I have spent well over $600 so far on a pair of monoblocks. $240 for Edcors, $100 for matched quad of KT66s, $60 for two matched pairs of 6SN7s, $100 for resistors and capacitors, $30 for chokes, $30 for phase splitters. Many other parts I had already. Also, doesn't include chassis and accessories.

If someone wanted to go all out on iron and vintage tubes, I'm sure $1500 could be spent on parts alone.

On the other hand, if someone went the budget route, I would think this could be topped out at $200-300.

Cheers, Greg

Thanks Greg.
OUCH.
Think my first tube build that is not a kit will be a buffer that Gio sent me some parts for.
Unfortunately all that stuff is in storage til we get a house here in Houston.
I appreciate the response Greg.

Hi Ri, given the sensitivity of your AN speakers, a small SE amp would likely be enough and you could build a nice one for about half the cost of a uniamp.

Thanks Gio, From what I have been reading from Nelson Pass SE is the way to go and then Class A SE is REALLY the way to go but I dont know anything about all the triode pentode geode nematode explode heavy load. Wait wait, for a minute there thought I was either Click or Clack from NPR. Yeah I think even a 2 or three watt would be not to bad. Maybe a few more but I get pretty picky about sound quality. I just want the best and I am cursed that way. So that Wavelength I listened to spoiled me.

As usual, I'm late for the party. I'd be really interested in at least a pair of boards, if somebody's going to get an order ready.
In fact, I'd be happy to order two pairs...
What's the chance of another order going through?
