Hey, Blitzen! Welcome to the forum.

I'm seriously considering this now, so keep an eye out here for info.

Cheers, Greg

The site will take a set of boards for a future giveaway.

Hi,

Bluesman wrote:
Yes, that's been pointed out before.

If someone wants to spend $50 US for a pair of those, that's their business. But, even with an initial set up fee, I was able to have very nice boards made for $18/pair US, plus shipping. And that was a VERY small batch. Second time around would be about half that much.

If that's true, I'd certainly like to hear where you can get them.

These a big double sided boards with plated through holes, not single sided.

Cheers!

I had boards made using Mr. Millett's files, with his permission, of course. The boards are double sided with plated through holes as you describe, made by Imagineering, Inc., otherwise known as pcbnet.com. The catch is I was a first time customer and took advantage of a 1/2 off deal.

Cheers, Greg

Alan,

This will happen in September or not at all. My eligibility for the new customer discount expires the first of October. I'm thinking of having 50 boards done. I'll post here if I go through with it. Like before, it won't be a group buy in the typical sense. I'll just buy the boards and sell them at no profit to other DIYers.

Cheers, Greg

I got a set of the boards and they are well made and thick. You can see some photos of the boards in the Millett UniAmp Build Thread.

BTW Geek, have you built a Uniamp? If you have, do you think you can chime in on this question: viewtopic.php?p=8085#p8085 as I was also wondering about this.
Cheers

Hi Bluesman,

That's below what I can get blank FR4 boards and one heck of a deal, new customer or not!

Hi Gio,

Sorry, no I haven't... been busy with other projects and now fallen madly in love with modding ST-70's 8-)

Cheers!

Just heard from my PCB guy.....

Seems once shipping, taxes and duty and all are calculated in and the new customer "welcome" is finished, we're not going to be too different.

But he did see the thread and authorized the PCB's at $45/pr..... for when your price goes up.

Cheers!

I'd definitely be in for at least a pair of boards, probably 2 pair!
