Clearing out some of my junk that has accumulated over the years.
I have two different kinds of bulk DIY interconnect cable I'd like to get rid of. They both are high quality, made in USA. One is Esoteric Audio Musica 500 Emerald. Very flexible and suitable for tight places and short, tight turns. The center conductor is stranded copper covered with a thick layer of teflon. That layer is then covered with a foil shield, which is then covered with a braided shield. The outside is a nice looking emerald green.
The second cable is a loud purple color made by Tiff. They're more of a force in car audio. It is quite stiff, which can be a plus for certain situations. When it is bent it holds its shape. One reason it is so good for car audio use. The cable has a pair of coated, stranded copper center conductors covered with cotton braid. (How about that alliteration!!) Those are inside a single purple sleeve, covered by a foil shield, a braided shield, a clear plastic layer, and the purple outer sleeve.
Either of these will make really nice cables for very little expense. I'm including a picture. Not the best shot, but it gives an idea of what these are. There are some slight cosmetic flaws, such as very small scuffs and scrapes on the outer surface, but nothing to affect performance. The purple looks awesome covered with black plastic braided sleeving.
