Hi everyone

I’m converting Rotel-855 (CDM4/19) into a top-loading player and would want to remove the loading tray and the motor.

The question is:

Can anyone suggest a simple way of modifying existing schematics, so I could have one button “to reset” the CD reading?
I.e. one button controlled by the CD cover and being “ON” only when the cover is closed. Opening/closing the cover (button state: Off/On) would make the cd player re-read the CD.

Rotel uses MC68HC05 microcontroller for running the CD loading mechanism. I have service manual for R-855 and MC68HC05 datasheet if need be.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
