Hi Mark, thanks for the suggestion. I've been using the moOde software with a Raspberry Pi 3B for about a month now and it has been great. I like that it runs on top of the Raspbian OS as that allow the option of using the Pi for other services.

I'm gonna try a miniDSP 2X4 HD next. It would actually act as a DAC for the Raspberry Pi and a CDP and also a 2-way crossover for a bi-amp. Looks like the miniDSP 2X4 HD works well with a raspberry pi loaded with the moode software: https://www.minidsp.com/forum/minidsp-f ... umio-moode
So I don't have an excuse to not try it anymore.

I have made an streamer with RBP3 and Hifiberry Digi + Pro card and baked Volumio at the sd-card. It works really fine and do not loose any contact. I can play high resolution files with 24/192 and it works just fine. I have ripped all my CDs and put them on a NAS together with high res music and also connected to Spotify. This makes it easy to play any music and also in the possible best quality.
The wifi connector of the pie is poor and I desolder it and replaced it by an external antenna with some extra gain. An now i can reach wifinets more than 100meters away :) I prefer wifi connection for the ease of use and not so many things grounded together.. causing humm or loops.
Separate power to Pie (5Volt) and Hifiberry (3,3Volt) card and also connect it with a better BNC-connector to my DAC.

The DAC is a CS4398 dac card with good powersupply and direct output to Lundahl 1690 output transformers. (The rest is just tubes) combination works just fine. Or fantastic :)
