I am a complete novice to this, but I cannot find a microphone preamp that is affordable and fuffils my needs. Basically I need a battery powered preamp for my condenser microphone. It needs to have xlr inputs and then RCA output both L and R as it goes between the mic and my usb audio interface.I have acces to materials and soldering space etc, and I have a preamp kit, the link to it is here.

and the details for it are here

Apart from that I have no idea what to do, I don't need anything ellaborate so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks J

You will need to power to the kit. The instructions show that a 9V battery is used. Then you will need wire input and output jacks to the kit. You will need to find some sort of enclosure to house the kit and battery.
