Hi guys,

I was set on building a set of Usher bookshelf speakers but the postage for Partsexpress to Australia is massive.
Madisound is better on postage but don't do usher.

Just looking at some suggestions of what tweeters / woofers to use for a pair of bookshelf speakers i want to build. They will be used as the fronts of a 5.1 Klipsch system to watch movies and listen to music.

I want a 6-7" woofer and was looking at soft dome tweeters. Somewhere around $350-$400 for 2 x tweeters/woofers and must be available through Madisound.com

Any suggestions would be great as i am lost which way to go.

Thanks
Alex

Hi!

Welcome to the forum!

I would use some Fostex drivers!

I´m not sure where you can get them in Australia, maybe from Japan?

But mwhouston from the forum might give you some advice.

Cheers,

Miguel

I ended up getting the Seas Idunn kit but spending an extra $100 on upgraded crossover parts. These were available in New Zealand so a lot less for postage.

Hopefully they will be good. I will have a look through the site to see if anyone has a build thread for them on here.

Thanks
