Here are some images of my Markaudio based speakers. Crazy simple to build Markaudio even provide plans for these simple boxes. The port is provided by a shortened baffle board. No Xover. At 92db efficient my 2W SE UL 6L6 amp drives them well. But I though they even sounded better again with my 250W Class D amp (now sold). Box size is about 90ltrs. They go down to 40Hz and seem to provide plenty of treble for me all from one driver. Imaging is crazy good and dead sharp.

Very nice looking speakers! I have been wanting to build a pair of full range driver speakers but have not yet decided which one. I would like to get high efficiency but most of the Mark Audio drivers are less than 90db. The 12p has a very even response graph compared to many of the drivers out there. 2 watts can go a long ways with higher efficiency speakers. I have a pair of PI 3 95 DB speakers and have been experimenting with a 5w SE KT88 diy amp lately. It will play loud enough for most of the music I listen to.

Markaudio tout the 12P as the "audiophile" speaker. I agree. I think you will too.

As above I did find they sounded better with an SS amp but very enjoyable with flea power tubes.

Demo-ed the Markaudios at the Melbourne Audio Club a few weeks back. In a huge hall packed with members driven by a SS amp it wowed the club. A ton of bass and extremely impressive. I had a few members come up and say they were very suprised. Pleasantly surprised that is.

Can't recommend the 12Ps more for an effcient single driver solution.
