Hi all,
I am in the process of making headsets that will plug into 2 way radios in order to hear radio chatter while running chainsaw. I have made a few sets already and have only had luck with a few. My issue is that the speakers I keep buying are never loud enough to hear the radio chatter while the chainsaw is running, especially in full rpm.

I am looking for any advice on a speaker that would be loud enough for this kind of use. Keep in mind the speaker has to sit inside the muff but behind the sound insulation. I think I am looking for high sensitivity speakers with low audio quality. The quality really doesn't matter here. All I am looking for is a small (around 1 1/2 in or 40 mm) loud, cheap speaker.

I have had luck with pulling the odd cheap bluetooth speaker out but whenever I buy some off ebay they never seem loud enough, I also have no idea how many watts a 2 way handheld radio would supply to audio output.

There is only 1 product available like this on the market and it's called the 3M peltor listen only headset and they cost around $250.00 for the set!

Any help is appreciated this is my first time reaching out to people who actually know what they are talking about.
