Hi.

I am building the Fostex FE206En Double Bass-Reflex Speaker Project, which calls for a bass port tube having a 3.15" inner diameter and a 2.95" length (from the front of the baffle).
See attached image which has dimension in millimeters.

I have looked at commercially available port tubes and things like PVC pipes.
But, cannot find anything that has a 3.15" inner diameter. The closest commercially available port tube has a 3" inner diameter.

Will the 3" inner diameter tube work or should I build a custom tube? Obviously the custom tube would be problematic to build and expensive.

Any suggestion/recommendation is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Gets you to a bit under 3.13" - I suspect that would be close enough for your work.

Any number of options here: https://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?id=71&step=2

Hi Danny,

You can make the port out of wood. Cut 100x100cm squares of 19 mm plywood with a 80cm hole in them and then glue and stack them to length. The trick is to draw out the 100x100 squares and drill/cut the holes in the larger piece of wood before you cut it up into the 100x100 squares.
