Hi Guys. :beerchug:
I am working on a "SONOS-Killer" project, and have come to the subwoofer part of the project. I have 2 pcs 8 inch units for the job. Is there any chance there is a plan for a compact enclosure, ported, bandpass or the like that will fit my project?
All suggestions are welcome!
Just remember that the "wife factor" is in play, so "the smaller the better"!
(I know it poses dificulties getting bass from a small cabinet, but isn't the life all about finding solutions?)

There are any number of tools for calculating box volume, sizing the port (if any) and various other parameters. Just use the term you are looking for in the search engine combined with "how to calculate...."

If you are clever, you can make it such that it will fit under a couch, table or chair. If you are skilled as a cabinet maker, you could make a small side-table with a deep enough skirt to hide the speakers. Keep in mind as you well know that bass is not directional - so you can have it placed very nearly anywhere in the room if you wish.

Hi Peter.
Thank you for the feed back regarding the cabinet. I was hoping for some kind of standard solution, but realize that the cabinet and the tuning has to fit the driver. I will try to calculate the right enclosure for this 8".
In the meantime I'll show you what the tops look like right now. The are with a 1" soft dome, a 3" bas/mid and a 3" slave. All driven via Chromecast Audio, a class d amp and a SMPS.
Take a look..:
