Mark,
Since you have used the fostex fe206en's drivers in both this project and the recommended fostex blh cabinets, can you comment on what type of music these different cabinet designs do well?

I ask because I had some fe166en's first in a sealed cabinet then moved them to a blh. The sealed cabinets liked rock n roll, but the blh's love the blues. Muddy Waters never sounded so good. Using a bottlehead S.E.X. Amp in both cases.

Thanks,

Probably vocal base trios etc. Anything with voice and say piano or guitar.

Where did you get the grills to cover the FE206Es? I need some badly. Thanks.

I work at a local electronics store, Jaycar, here in Australia. You can try and order them online from Jaycar. Altronics, also in Australia, have a very similar item. They are also online.

Hi everyone! This is my first post... I need grills too.
Did you get the grills? Where?
Thanks in advance.

The way I'm doing it these days is rare earth magnets on the speaker and a metal grill on them. The metal grills I use have a plastic surround so the magnets stay with the speaker when I pull off the grills.

The other way is to still use the magnets and use over size grills. This is a better solution. I get grills from Altronics here in Oz. You can order on line.
