I will do. I'll be going for the bass reflex enclusure, I really like the look of that enclosure. Just got to wait for some slightly warmer weather before I can build though, I don't have a big enough indoor space.

Kind regards, John.

Well, it's often worth a phonearound. I've managed to find a company that will build me some granite cabinets.

Any thoughts on mounting my jordans in a granite cab?

Kind regards, John.

Seeing a granite build on this site has made me think of going down that road. The granite speakers look lovely, a tempting thought. :-)

Hi John,

How much would they want for something like that? Can they make the driver cutout for you as well? I can't imagine that going anything larger than a bookshelf size is practical due to the weight.

Hi Gio

I have to get some drawings together and submit them to them for a quotation. They'll build them from 20mm granite with any colour of my choice. I'd best spend a little time on here getting to know how to do the calculations to get the cabinet sizes right. If I shell out the money to build the cabinets and find they're wrong, I've wasted probably a few hundred on a plantpot. :(

So with loudspeakers, where's best to start with the calculations, I'm a complete greenhorn when it comes to speakers.

Kind regards, John.

Hi John,

Since I assume they wil be bookshelf sized, WinISD is fine for a design.

You can get measured T/S parameters from the Jordan JX92S Speaker Driver page.

You should also consider Jim Griffins mini monitor design:

It is well received.

Cheers
