Start with ISD online: http://www.linearteam.dk/default.aspx?pageid=newdriver

Use the same units for Vas and Vb

Hi Sabs,

ISD Online is web based, so it will work on any operating system.

Sorry you didn't find unibox to your liking.

I always start with 2 things and then work from there:

1) The size of the enclosure you want to use, just have a rough idea...if you are looking for 7l try 5-12 or something like that. Always make sure you hit the graph button for each change so you can see the differences.

2) For a sealed box I try to get the QTC somewhere between .8 and 1.0 you can go lower and a little higher but that is a good midpoint that will provide you with some good bass.

For a ported box you need to decide where you want your tuning frequency, for music I like 33hz, for HT you could shoot for 10-20hz. If you are lucky enough to be able to get the response you want in the enclosure you want then you are done as long as the port will fit!!

I always like to look at the graphs on the seperate tabs as well, I prefer not to allow a woofer to exceed its max excursion at any point because I feel this is the right way to design. Sometimes it does not work out and as long as it is not crazy I will let it slide.
