Here is an update on my project. I used 1/2" damping material behind the drivers and have a little of acoustic fill in the tops of the tubes. I still need to make the baffle and top plates but the drivers are starting to break in. The sound is not too bad but I really will not know until I put the port tubes in the bottom of the cylinder. Any ideas out there on how large ( diameter) to make the baffle. I applologize in advance for the crude photo but it came from my phone.
